On June 29, 2024, the Charity Bonanza, held at the Millennium Global International School, brought together a community of generous souls, all united in the spirit of giving. Through the efforts of the organising committee led by Ibtihaaj Kassim, students, teachers, parents and supporters alike, we were able to raise significant funds that have been directed to three crucial causes, each aimed at uplifting vulnerable communities.
Supporting Refugees in Dadaab: $2100 to UNHCR

A portion of the funds, amounting to $2100, was donated to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to support refugees in the Dadaab camp. With over 200,000 displaced people facing dire living conditions, these funds will contribute to essential supplies, shelter, and services for families in need. Every dollar counts towards providing dignity and hope to those who have been displaced by conflict and crisis.
Empowering Young Women: 50,000 Shillings to Bold Phase Initiative

In addition, 50,000 shillings were donated to the Bold Phase Initiative, a local organization dedicated to providing sanitary pads to underprivileged young women and girls. Access to menstrual hygiene products is a fundamental need that too often goes unmet, causing young women to miss school or suffer stigma. This donation will directly impact the lives of many, enabling them to pursue their education and personal growth with confidence.
Water for Musosya Primary School: $523 to The Water Project
Lastly, $523 was donated to The Water Project to support Musosya Primary School in their efforts to secure safe and reliable water. Access to clean water is critical for students' health and academic success. By helping fund this project, we are ensuring that these children can focus on learning rather than walking long distances to fetch water or falling ill due to waterborne diseases.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We extend our deepest gratitude to all who contributed to the Charity Bonanza. Your kindness and generosity are helping to change lives, and these donations will have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. Together, we are making a difference, one cause at a time.
